The ability to make someone smile can have long lasting effects. By simply saying “Hello” or offering a helping hand you are able to change someone’s entire day for the positive.
One of RADA’s basic objectives is to help shift people’s perspectives and create a better understanding of others through various monthly campaigns.
For the month of April we focus on the service industry and those who serve us on a daily basis such as waiters, petrol attendants, domestic workers, cashiers, the police, nurses etc.
The service sector makes up three quarters of the employment market, meaning the majority of workers out there are faced by inconsistencies in human behaviour on a daily basis. It is human nature to project how we are feeling onto others and if this action is negative, we create a vicious cycle of negative energy.
It is our responsibility as a community to think before we act and change our behaviour from a negative one to a positive one and create a ripple effect of positive change in the world around us.
Be conscious of the people you encounter and work on making a difference in those people’s lives. Slow down, communicate, take the time to listen and be more understanding. Respect those who serve.
