While RADA aims to empower citizens to lead better lives by making well informed and wise decisions, we understand that every now and then, people need a helping hand. During November RADA will be distributing food parcels to the community of Orange Farm, hosting soup kitchens in the Johannesburg CBD and celebrating with the orphans of Thato KeMatla. RADA, will also be working with the elderly in Johannesburg, Alexander and Eldorado Park providing food to the communities that they are situated in.
“RADA believes in a direct exchange of energy and we celebrate those people making a difference in the community,” says J-P Nobrega, Founder and CEO of RADA.
“Those individuals who take care of the children in the orphanages, the elderly in homes, the sick, the homeless, they are angels in the community who act as role models, showing that we as people are able to rise above our circumstances and collectively make a difference. They are creators of opportunities.”
The RADA Inspire movement encourages the citizens of South Africa to take a moment and do something meaningful for those in your community. We recognise that a sense of togetherness and the love and support of community vastly adds to our quality of life.
Perform an act of kindness. Big or small any act of kindness not only brings hope to others but can help you feel more connected and have a greater sense of contribution. So, do acts of kindness daily.
Take notice of your judgmental, negative and hopeless thoughts and then… let those thoughts go and don’t let them control your behaviour. Stop judging yourself and others, be kind to yourself, practice thinking of yourself and others with compassion.
This world may feel broken, but there is beauty in it. Find the hope and inspiration. Start where you are and take one step at a time. Cultivate hope and inspiration in your life and the lives of others. Get involved and do the good that you can, in the place where they are, with the tools and the people around you.
We all need to have a goal in our lives that is larger than the day’s headlines, or what is trending in social media. Creating inspiration, reigniting dreams and cultivating hope is a journey for which we need companions, family, friends, co-workers, caregivers and communities.
