September 2019: RADA Inspire celebrates Heritage month

South Africa, rainbow nation… the colours of a rainbow are distinctly different, they stand side by side to create a magnificent promise of hope. The colours although individual touch each other and so to do the lives and cultures of each South African.
The message RADA Inspire promotes is one of respect for others. This month it’s about heritages, histories, beliefs and traditions. These are inherent in each one of us and we should celebrate the freedom we have as humans to reflect, learn and teach those around us about our unique histories that make up this colourful country of ours.
The nation belongs to all people, regardless of gender, age, race, tradition, religion. Together we share a sense of community. This is exactly what RADA stands for and aims to achieve through the RADA Inspire campaign – a sense of unity, while still being able to celebrate our differences.
Over the last six months, RADA, through the RADA Inspire movement, has made significant strides in shifting people’s perspective when it comes to various social issues. This month is a celebration, a reminder of all the amazing things this country has to offer, despite its ongoing challenges.
Once again, the aim is to shift perspective from the negative to the positive, creating a positive web of influence among the masses. It is important to remember that the only way to create empathy among people in the world is to start with those closest to you and empower others to do the same.
Respect, tolerance and understanding of others is critical in creating a safe and peaceful environment for all.
Spend time to find and reflect on your love for this country. Focus on the positives, the successful achievements, stand together and celebrate our beloved South Africa. We challenge you to be a catalyst and ignite that true spirit of Ubuntu this month.
