Howie Combrink releases his brand new single “Change” as the follow-up to his breakthrough debut single “Don’t Be Sayin Goodbye”.

It’s been an exciting 6 months for Combrink. “Don’t Be Sayin Goodbye” topped the charts on Ofm reaching #1 on the SA TOP 5 and peaking at #2 on OFM Top 10, along with receiving incredible radio support from the likes of KFm, RSG, Jacaranda Fm, MFm (charting on the TOP 40 chart), SmileFm, Bay Fm and many more across SA. He’s performed with high-profiled local talent such as Jeremy Loops, Gangs of Ballet, Prime Circle, The Parlotones, Graeme Watkins Project, Michael Lowman and Bouwer Bosch, as well as touring constantly and reaching new fans.
The release of “Change” also celebrates an exciting venture as Combrink announces his tie-in with RADA.
RADA is an acronym for Rape, Alcohol, Drug and Abuse-renewal from addiction and abuse, and aims to fight crime by taking action against some of the key contributing factors towards crime. Using a unique approach, RADA’s vision is to create a number of comprehensive renewal centres in South Africa, and ultimately around the world, that will focus on holistic, proactive and reactive aspects of treating victims of rape and abuse.
RADA addresses issues proactively by partnering with organisations that focus on educational programmes aimed at the emotional and social well-being of children. RADA employs effective and empowering methods for renewal and is guided by a business model that is innovative, appealing and sustainable. RADA is a registered not-for-profit organisation, run as a business by an experienced management team who adhere to the principles of good corporate governance.
“Working with RADA on this single is truly a blessing for me as an artist. I had written the song “CHANGE” in late 2012 and since its inception, been searching for the right organisation to coincide the release with. Then came RADA, an organisation that stands for everything the song is essentially about. RADA wants to make a difference in the world and so do I, so it seemed like a perfect partnership on this release. One person’s voice is big but if you join forces with like minded people you can make an even bigger difference, and that is exactly what I have done with RADA. The songs name “CHANGE” describes what the song is all about and the main hook in the song is ‘we gotta change the world today’. The concept behind that was to get as many people singing those lines as possible because I truly believe that what you speak, is what you are and only you have the power to make a difference. I’m hoping the song inspires people to go have a look at what RADA is all about and that it inspires people to do good for others and respect each other, not just the people we love and know but also the people we don’t know and share this beautiful planet with. We can change the world and RADA is well on the road to doing just that, so let’s stand together and ‘change the world today’.”
– comments an excited Combrink.
