RADA Youth Project

What is the RADA Youth Project?

The RADA Youth Project is designed to empower young individuals by enabling them to lead projects aimed at uplifting underprivileged communities.

The program offers a unique opportunity for youth to form a dedicated Youth Team, tasked with identifying pressing problems or challenges within their chosen community and devising innovative solutions to address them.  The RADA Youth committee will be required to submit a comprehensive business proposal detailing the identified challenge, their proposed solution, and the logistical framework for implementation. With the assistance of RADA’s mentorship and resources, the Youth Team will execute their project.

Providing the opportunity to youth empowers South Africans to believe that together they can bring about positive change within their local communities.

Which Communities are earmarked for the RADA Youth Project?

The aim is to assist all communities within South Africa. RADA will commence with the Gauteng Province and will expand to surrounding Provinces once the processes and procedures of the strategy are proficient.

What is the purpose of Implementing the RADA Youth Project?

The purpose of implementing the RADA Youth project is two-fold.

  1. Empowering younger generations by valuing their input, encouraging them to collaborate with their communities and to be inspired to drive positive change.
  2. Shedding light on issues or challenges that may go unnoticed by adults and introducing fresh, innovative approaches to overcoming these challenges.

How will RADA Youth Project benefit the communities?

Younger generations are given the opportunity to identify challenges and come up with sustainable practical solutions to alleviate or eliminate difficulties within vulnerable communities.

The solutions are intended to;

  • have a positive impact within vulnerable communities,
  • uplift their chosen community,
  • make a positive difference in people’s lives.

How will RADA Youth Project benefit the learners?

The RADA Youth project creates a unique platform for youth aged 13-18 to form dedicated teams, identify pressing community challenges and design innovative solutions to address them.

The young individuals who join RADA Youth may benefit in the following ways:

  • Experience and mentorship in creating a business proposal, implementing the project and working within the non-profit sector.
  • The opportunity to make a positive impact and uplift their chosen community.
  • Develop confidence and self-esteem by taking responsibility for a project and seeing the project through with the aim to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
  • Earn community hours and recommendations to include in university applications or future job submissions.

What makes the RADA Youth Project different?

The distinctive feature of the RADA Youth Project lies in placing the responsibility directly in the hands of the youth, emphasising their role in addressing challenges and contributing to community improvement.
