What is the RADA Tough Times Project?
The RADA Tough Times Project is aimed at providing assistance to severely underprivileged communities – communities experiencing tough times. We are able to do this thanks to KIA South Africa who have come on board and supplied us with a vehicle capable of carrying substantial amounts of goods to the people that we assist.
Which Communities are earmarked for the RADA Tough Times Project?
The aim is to assist all communities within South Africa. RADA will commence with the Gauteng Province and will expand to surrounding Provinces once the processes and procedures of the strategy are proficient.
What is the purpose of implementing the RADA Tough Times Project?
The purpose is to give communities that have fallen on tough times hope to forge ahead and assist in the understanding that no matter how tough times may be, there is always choice and opportunity to create a better platform from which to succeed.
To encourage, enable and educate communities to improve their circumstances.
To communicate that support is at hand no matter how small the contribution is and that people do in fact care and wish you to succeed.
How will RADA Tough Times Project benefit the communities?
The RADA Tough Times message – you are responsible to improve your life – you have the power within you to change your life. You have choice in life no matter how difficult the circumstance is and now is the time to start the change consistently inch by inch.
The RADA Tough Times Project aims to awaken the sense of hope and dreams in people and enable people to improve their self-esteem and confidence.
Hope and dreams instill a sense of purpose in communities that may reignite passion and creativity to keep forging ahead and start achieving their personal goals.
Simply put – RADA Tough Times Project is created to empower communities.
The RADA team will communicate that we will continue to support the community provided the community and RADA work together to improve circumstances – RADA and/or the community does not wish to create a sense of entitlement and/or dependency – we focus on empowerment where people are given the opportunity to better their lives on their own (with a little help from RADA).
Opportunities will be created by RADA where the community shall be able to pay forward the benefit received.
What makes the RADA Tough Times Project different?
The scale in which the RADA Tough Times Project will be implemented is unprecedented.
The procedures that are in place to safeguard the items and ensure the correct distribution thereof are proficient and organised.
The RADA Tough Times Project is purely aimed to empower communities and is designed to positively affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals.
Collection points will be set up to accommodate all items that people wish to donate – the RADA Tough Times Project is designed to provide items of all sizes, functions and needs – from a sewing machine and gardening tools to food and fridges.
RADA works closely with the Community Leaders, the Youth Desk, the SAPS, the Community Police Forums and the MEC for Community and Safety Gauteng. The relationships forged allow RADA to be proficient and effective in the mission to uplift and empower the communities we work with.
