Thamagane Primary School

Thamagane Primary School is situated in Boitumelong close to Bloemhof in the Northwest Province.

The school currently educates 987 learners living in this low income, semi-rural area, where government grants are the primary source of income for families.

Learners are dependent on the schools feeding scheme which provides them with breakfast and lunch daily.

The school is run by a dedicated team of 28 teachers and four general workers.

While academics is of primary importance, the school offers limited extra mural activities which include soccer, athletics and mini cricket.

Thamagane Primary is classified as a quintile one non-fee-paying school and receives subsidies from government to cover basic operational costs.

RADA was introduced to Thamagane Primary School in April 2026 and recognized it as a place where we could provide meaningful support.  With the help of sponsors, we are now contributing to the school’s feeding program ensuring that vulnerable children receive the nutrition they need.  RADA will continue to assess and assist with the needs of Thamagane Primary School, its staff, students and the broader community.
