During the month of June, RADA draws attention to the significant value of the people we encounter and interact with on a daily basis. Highlighting the importance of connecting with one’s community, showing understanding, care and kindness is the goal.
The positive relationships we share can add considerable value to our life and the lives of others. By spending meaningful time with family, friends be they old or new, the elderly, colleagues or neighbours contributes to one having a happier and healthier outlook on life. Shared experiences can increase one’s sense of belonging whilst providing you with renewed physical and mental energy.
While RADA continues to support various vulnerable communities situated in Gauteng, Free State, Northwest, Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces, by distributing 294, 686 meals each month (2022: 1, 947, 312 total meals) to RADA adopted homes, centres and projects; you are encouraged to connect with people in your own community by helping those in need.
In helping by donating food, shelter or transport, volunteering your time to support a worthy cause, it is crucial to remember that all positive actions, no matter how small, contribute to the greater good. By changing communities’ thoughts and actions to be directed by love and kindness is the way we begin to change the world.
Making a determined effort by taking the time to show your support allows others to feel appreciated, valued and ultimately loved and cared for. When we feel that we matter to others and that we are respected by others; we develop a sense of belonging which binds us together in a healthy productive and positive way.
Be the Way …Be the Change …One Day at a Time.
